If you haven’t heard the rumors, Tulsa has been buzzing about a new brewery coming to downtown for a while now. Last summer, New Story Brewing debuted plans for a facility at the corner of 3rd and Greenwood, with hopes of opening within 6-9 short months. However, turning NSB’s ambitious plan for a full-scale manufacturing, distribution, and taproom facility into a reality has taken time, especially in gaining approval from the city of Tulsa.
While NSB is still working with the City to finalize plans for the future taproom, we’re excited to announce a major milestone—New Story Brewing has officially received its approvals from the City of Tulsa and the State to begin beer manufacturing.
The Road Ahead
Through the substantial expansion into our 11,700-square-foot downtown warehouse, NSB will be set up to brew, cellar, and distribute over 3,000 barrels of beer annually. For reference, one barrel of beer is roughly 31 gallons or 336 12 oz cans. That means NSB is preparing to produce more than one million beer cans to distribute across Oklahoma in the coming months.

What’s next for NSB?
As of last week, we received final approval to start brewing, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring our beer to shelves and taps across the state. Our initial distribution efforts will focus on the Tulsa and Oklahoma City markets, but we have ambitious growth plans.
In the meantime, we continue working with the City of Tulsa to finalize plans for our taproom, which will be the heart of our storytelling and community-building efforts. Stay tuned for major announcements coming soon.
